Republican mayoral candidate Michael Fedele will appear on two lines on the November ballot after winning the endorsement of the state’s Independent Party this week.
Republican Town Clerk Donna Loglisci also won the party’s endorsement and will also appear on the Republcan and Independent lines. Loglisci is running unopposed.
Fedele’s campaign was notified by the Secretary of the State’s Office earlier this week that his name will appear on both the Republican and Independent lines on Nov. 5. Fedele won the Republican Party’s nomination for mayor in July over Board of Education member Jerry Pia.
“I am honored by the Independent endorsement because it demonstrates that my vision for Stamford is supported by our residents regardless of political affiliation,” Fedele said in a statement. “Stamford’s successes and challenges are not Democrat, Republican or Independent challenges — they are challenges that face our entire community and all of our citizens.”
